Central Jersey Invasive Species Strike Team

Plant Identification Workshop & Steering Committee Meeting   

Where: Duke Farms, 80 Route 206 South, Hillsborough, NJ

When: Wednesday, May 20, 2009

Time:Plant ID Workshop: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

This session is open to volunteers, partners, landowners & land managers.  We will do a brief indoor summary of the project, followed by a field plant ID session.

Steering Committee Workshop: 1:00 pm- 2:00

Current and potential partners are encouraged to join us to discuss and finalize the attached Memorandum or Understanding.  Please review the MOU and submit all comments before May 10.

This Strike Team represents the state's first comprehensive effort toward invasive plant management through a public-private partnership.  With over 25 partners now participating, we are cooperatively working to control the spread of invasive species in central New Jersey through Early Detection & Rapid Response.
