Class of 2005
2005 was the inaugural year for the Rutgers Environmental Steward program and classes were run in two locations in the state; the Roseland Office of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Essex County and the Clayton office of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Gloucester County. On June 16, 2005 the first Rutgers Environmental Steward training ended its 20 lecture season. 39 students began the course in Essex and Gloucester Counties and 34 received certificates of completion. Now they must move on to complete their 60 hour internships to become certified Rutgers Environmental Stewards.
